Short answer: choose by format and eligibility first. If you want to practice speaking out loud, or you qualify for a verified student price, Praxplay's published plans cover that. If you want to rehearse your wording in a typed conversation with a fictional client and read feedback afterward, try SeatTime's free practice conversation and see whether the text format suits you. We haven't tested the two tools side by side, and neither one is the right pick for every learner.

- You want to try it before making an account. The first practice conversation needs no account or card.
- You want one price with no student-status check. The individual plan is $15/month for eligible US adults, with no student-status check. You can cancel any time.
What this page doesn't tell you
We haven't run the same practice in both tools, so this page doesn't compare how realistic the clients feel, the quality of the feedback, or reliability. We did not find a numeric usage allowance on Praxplay's pricing page; details elsewhere or in its app are unverified. SeatTime's daily limit is based on AI usage rather than a set number of conversations. SeatTime's feedback is generated by AI and can be wrong, so bring your questions to faculty or a supervisor.

Frequently asked questions
Does either tool replace the practice my program assigns?
SeatTime doesn't. It's optional practice outside your program and doesn't count toward any program, placement or licensing requirement. For Praxplay, read its own terms, and ask your program what it accepts before you rely on any tool for coursework.
Is SeatTime the cheaper option?
Not for everyone. Praxplay lists a $9.99/month Student plan for edu-verified learners, which is below SeatTime's $15/month. Its Individual plan is listed at $19.99/month. Compare the plan you would actually be eligible for.
What should I check before paying for either?
Whether you need voice, whether you qualify for a student price, how much use a plan includes, and how cancellation works. Prices on this page were checked on October 21, 2026; read each provider's current pricing page before you pay.
