Short answer: choose based on whether speaking out loud matters for the practice you want. SofiaHelp's site centers on real-time voice conversations, and its home-page illustration also shows a typing option; availability in the product is unverified. SeatTime is text only: you type what you would say, with time to think, and read AI-generated feedback afterward. We haven't tested the two tools side by side.

When SofiaHelp may fit better

  • You want to speak your responses aloud. Its practice centers on real-time voice.
  • You want a fictional client to remember earlier sessions. It lists client memory across sessions.
  • You want session analytics. It lists them on every plan.

When SeatTime may fit

  • You want to work on wording. Typing gives you time to try a different response before you send it.
  • The listed monthly price fits your budget. SeatTime's $15/month is lower than SofiaHelp's listed paid plans. Minutes of voice practice and typed conversations aren't the same unit, though, so price alone doesn't settle it.
  • You want to try it with no account. The first practice conversation needs no account or card.

Questions to check before you pay

  • How are minutes counted: talk time only, or the whole session?
  • Do free minutes renew, and do paid minutes roll over?
  • What happens when you reach a limit, in either tool?
  • How do cancellation and refunds work?

Frequently asked questions

Does AI feedback replace my supervisor?

No. SofiaHelp's own site describes its output as generated output, not clinical supervision. SeatTime's feedback is AI-generated and can be wrong. Bring your questions to faculty or a supervisor.

Can text practice show how I sound?

No. SeatTime is text only, so it works with the words you type. If speaking aloud is what you want to practice, a voice tool or a classmate fits better.

Is a minute of voice practice the same as a text conversation?

No. They're different units, so we don't convert one into the other. Compare what you would actually do in a week of practice.

Try SeatTime's text-practice format

SeatTime is a text-only practice simulator: you type to a fictional AI client, then read AI-generated feedback on what you did. No account or card needed for the free exercise.

Text-only practice with fictional clients, for adult learners (graduate students and early-career practitioners). Feedback is AI-generated and can be wrong. It's optional practice outside your program and doesn't count toward any program, placement, or licensing requirement. Use fictional details only. Your supervisor's guidance comes first.
